This book is a compilation of the essays that were presented during the First International Symposium: (Un) Anticipated Futures, Bangkok-Buenos Aires-Nueva York. It was organized by The New School through The Observatory on Latin America (OLA) and Parsons, the University of Buenos Aires, through the School of Architecture, Design and Urbanism and the School of Social Sciences, and Chulalongkorn University. The Symposium brought together innovative research from across three disciplines, three cities, and three universities. It was a pioneering collaboration between historians, social researchers, and designers in a context of unprecedented economic and ecological uncertainty.
